The most nominated person, Kanye West walked away as a winner of three Grammy awards. He received trophies for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "All of the Lights" , Best Rap Performance (with Jay-Z) for "Otis", and Best Rap Album for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

The singer and song-writer, Taylor Swift got 2 trophies – Best Country Song for and Best Country Solo Performance for her single "Mean Lyrics". This track is part of her third album "Speak Now".

Chris Brown won an award for Best R&B Album for his forth studio album "F.A.M.E". At the show, he performed his old "Beautiful people" and his new single "Turn Up the Music Lyrics" which is the lead single of his up-coming fifth album "Fortune" expected to be released in March 2012. The official premiere of "Turn up the Music" is on 14 Feb 2012.
